Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize the upcoming boxing match.
Former two-time unified title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning massive earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As both boxers met for the traditional stare-down, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
